'Meloncholia' Wins Best Picture at the 2011 European Film Awards

NOTE: Only European films are honored and eligibility years vary from the Academy Awards.

 

The European Film Awards were handed out tonight in Berlin, Germany. The 24th annual event was presented by the European Film Academy. Lars Von Trier's Melancholia won best film, cinematographer, and production designer.
