Video- Full Interview with Alexander Skarsgard and Kiefer Sutherland for 'Meloncholia'
Interview done by DP/30 with Alex and Kiefer. HOW I missed this video I don't know, but so happy I found. Love the way Alex doesn't have to take up space with talking and listens intently. I really adore him. So nice to find a long interview. Is it silly of me to hope they talked about David and Eric? I'm a dork.

Alexander Skarsgard Loads up in Exclusive Clip for the Movie '13'
Get More: Movie Trailers, Movies Blog
At long last, this week sees the release of "13," director Géla Babluani's adaptation of his own 2005 French film. The movie follows Vincent "Vince" Ferro (Sam Riley), a young man with a desperate need for cash. His desperation drags him into the underground world of Russian roulette, where he has to participate in several deadly games to earn his paycheck. It's not a pretty living, but someone's gotta do it!
"13" features an incredible cast including "Expendables" alums Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and "The Departed" badass Ray Winstone. It also has a spot for "True Blood" hunk Alexander Skarsgård, who just so happens to be the star of this exclusive clip from "13." Skarsgård puts his fangs away in favor of some gun-loading lessons for roulette newbie Vince.

A Vampire in Sagaponack: Alex Hits the Hampton's Film Festival

Alexander Skarsgard #17 on Askmen's Top 49 Most Influential
AskMen.com (click link for more) has done their top #49 most influential men and Alex has a great page.
You can thank Alexander Skarsgard for single-handedly wresting the vampire genre away from the cast of Twilight and making it once again a worthwhile subject to sink your teeth into. As Eric Northman, the 1,000-year-old vampire on HBO's True Blood, Skarsgard delivers some of the wittiest (and snarkiest) lines on the show. He imbues in it some much-needed comic relief, given its often eerie nature. But while the show has made Skarsgard famous stateside, the Swede is out to prove that he's more than just a sparkling set of white fangs with his controversial new film, Straw Dogs, as well as Lars von Trier's Melancholia and next summer's likely blockbuster, Battleship. And that's how you take a bite out of Hollywood.

Alex Talks About Why He is Excited to Get Back to "True Blood" (Spoilers)
Alexander Skarsgård is exhausted. The night before our meeting at New York’s Crosby Street Hotel, he attended a screening for his latest film, Lars von Trier’s Melancholia, which led into a late-night after-party atthe Jane. “I’m so hungover,” he says, slouching so deep into a plush armchair that’s almost lying on his back. It’s been a while since the 35-year-old Swedish actor has been allowed to let loose. Since wrapping production on the fourth season of True Blood this summer, he’s filmed two back-to-back movies: What Maisie Knew, a relationship drama costarring Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan, and Disconnect, an ensemble tech-thriller in which he plays Paula Patton’s roving husband.

Alex Talks About Not Being Sure on Raising a Family in LA
Alexander Skarsgard isn’t sure whether he’ll raise a family in Los Angeles.
The Swedish actor plays a vampire in American television series True Blood. It means he’s based in the US city, where he’s been for six years.
It’s only recently that he’s begun to view Los Angeles as home, and he still isn’t sure whether he’ll settle their indefinitely.
“I don’t know if I’d want to start a family and raise kids out here – I haven’t thought about that yet,” he said. “But, for now, I’m trying to make the best of the situation because I’m going to be here for a couple more years at least.”
Although for many the weather is a big reason to live in California, that’s not the case for Alexander. Portraying blood-sucker Eric Northman means he can’t have a tan at all while shooting, so it limits the things he can do in his spare time.
“It’s kind of tough living in California and not being able to go in the sun,” he laughed to Company magazine. “Playing a vampire for six months, I have to be pale. I don’t go to the beach at all. But I can now – I’m on vacation.”

Alexander Skarsgard Filming 'The East' in Shreveport November 2nd
Last week it was learned that hometown girl Patricia Clarkson would be starring with Brit Marling ("Another Earth"), Alexander Skarsgard ("Straw Dogs") and Ellen Page ("Juno") in Zal Batmanglij's upcoming indie thriller, "The East." Today, we learn that it will bring her back to her home state.
According to the latest state-issued listing of production activity, "The East" will set up camp in Shreveport on Nov. 2 for a five-week shoot set to run through Dec. 12.
Backed by Tony and Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions -- which has brought such films as "Déjà vu" and "Welcome to the Rileys" to the state over the past few years -- "The East" tells the story of a woman (Marling) who works for a firm hired by big-business types to protect them from radical environmental groups. When she's ordered by her boss - that would be Clarkson -- to infiltrate one such group, she falls under the spell of group leader Skarsgard.
Marling earns a co-writer credit on the film, which is tentatively set for a 2012 release.
Interview With Alex and OUT Magazine + Scans
I love him more with every interview. Talks Sweden taking Hollywood by storm, and etiquette differences, and what else? Sex.
What is it about Sweden that is making this far-flung country of less than 10 million people so culturally relevant right now? From Robyn and the Knife to the The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Sweden has leaped ahead of its European neighbors and infiltrated America's mammoth entertainment machine. We invited Alexander Skarsgård, best known for his role in HBO's lusty drama True Blood, to sit down with director Jonas Åkerlund -- whose seminal videos have included Madonna's "Ray of Light," Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful," and Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi," (which starred a then–largely unknown Skarsgård as Gaga's paramour) -- to help answer the question.
Alex Skarsgard Cut Out Auctioned For Charity
Scott and Deborah Ann Woll are auctioning off a very unique item over at eBay, an Alexander Skarsgård standee cut-out figure signed by many of the True Blood cast and crew.
At the San Diego Comic Con 2010, Alexander Skarsgårdwas unable to attend and a standee cut out was used during the True Blood panel in his absence. The cut out was then signed and given to EJ Scott to raise money for the Choroideremia Research Foundation.
EJ is always trying to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for his illness Choroideremia and in 2012 he will be running 12 full marathons in 12 states in hopes of raising an average of at least $12,000 per marathon.
The money raised from this auction will be donated to the Foundation as part of EJ’s personal 2012 goal.
Since last year he and Deborah have been getting more and more people associated with True Blood to sign the Alex cut-out which now totals 60 signatures and he has put it up for auction. At the auction web address you can see a full list of who has signed the item.
Hurry on over to EBay and get all the details and make your bid on this unique item being offered for charity by clicking on this link: ebay.com.
